OPTIC NERVE was founded by director/producer Colin Still, with the aim of producing arts documentaries & films on social issues. Others closely associated with the company include editor Sam Collins, who has done a brilliant job in cutting Electric Chair Music & the other pieces we’ve produced with the Kreutzer Quartet, Emily Wood, who production-managed Arrows of Desire, Judith Lamers, who continues to oversee the company’s accounts, Gavin Campbell, who cut the triple-screen installation for the Cutty Sark, French cameraman Charles Taillard, Michael Hrebeniak, our one-time producer, now lecturing at Cambridge University, & Sara Jolly, with whom we are developing a project on the life of the Russian poet Anna Akhmatova.
